ALeN. (Authentic Lennard)
A member of Generation Z, ALeN. is an independent music producer and the founder and current sole member of PROJECT UNAMED SPACE. Working primarily with keyboards, bass, and programming, he independently handles composition, arrangement, mixing, and mastering while directing the project from its sound to its overall expression. Since beginning music production in 2019, he has developed a working method that carries a piece through the entire production process.
He launched PROJECT UNAMED SPACE in 2023. The project is still taking shape: sound comes before explanation, then is given form and recorded. UNS has released one single and is currently producing its first Definition Record, *Metalization Caelestis*.
In 2024, he formed the band MercuryLamp with fellow musicians and began using MercuryLamp Productions as a credit for creative work and releases. He handles keyboards, bass, and programming in the band. MercuryLamp has released five singles and is working on its first independent album. Some songs he wrote for his school as a student unexpectedly found an audience; that experience convinced him that a melody could leave its original setting and reach someone he had never met.
His music begins with Pop/Rock and Metal, often bringing electronic sounds into rock and metal structures. By the time ALeN. began making music, streaming, digital production, and listening across languages were already part of everyday life. That Gen Z perspective keeps him from treating genre as a fixed boundary and makes cross-cultural work a natural creative condition.
He is committed to bringing the Eastern aesthetics and philosophy that shine through traditional Chinese music into contemporary music, a creative thread he calls “New Chinese Style.” Another concern is how to place Chinese within faster, more emotionally intense music while preserving the language’s own sound and meaning. “Unrestricted” describes a simple principle: the work chooses the style, rather than the style deciding what the work should become.
PROJECT UNAMED SPACE and LAGRANGE RECORDS draw on the idea of Lagrange points in celestial mechanics. With technology and art, reason and emotion acting at the same time, ALeN. looks for the position where a sound can hold. His songs use Chinese, English, and Japanese, with the choice determined by each piece.
ALeN.’s standard for a work is clear: the production must be complete, while the definition can wait. He takes a sound to a level he can stand behind, then lets it leave the studio. From that point, its meanings begin to diverge. What PROJECT UNAMED SPACE preserves is the distance that cannot be named in advance.
